Gyumri
A city which is situated in previous settling of Bronze Age. A great number of Armenians who escaped from the West Armenia to the East in XIX settled in Aleksandrapol. During the last century Gyumri became a modern industrial city preserving its traditional features. Aleksandrapol-Leninakan-Gyumri is the motherland of many famous representatives of national culture. The classics of Armenian literature, composers, and talented sculptors were born here. Old blocks of houses, churches and museums, mountains and parks make the visit to this city much more interesting.
